ESFA is taking expressions of interest for the popular Skills Acquisition League (SAP) and Regional League in 2014.
ESFA has had a proud history with youth representative programs; including winning the Centenary Cup in 2011 and 2012 as well as produce players that now compete in the Premier League 1 and Premier League 2 competitions. We were also one of the inaugural licensees for the revamped Football NSW Skills Acquisition Program in 2013
Places are limited in both programs due to high demand so we encourage you to register early.
Skills Acquisition Program
The Skills Acquisition Program is for boys and girls in Under 9 to Under 11 age groups and incorporates the fundamental principles of the FFA National Curriculum and Small Sided Football Regulations, including; match format, training loads, match loads, program duration and field dimensions.
ESFA SAP will play its home games on Sunday mornings and will train twice a week through the pre-season and three times a week during the winter season. The season will incorporate 18 games and 2 gala days.
We will be conducting trials between the 3rd November and 22nd November this year, and will announce more details in coming weeks.
The Regional League is for boys aged between 12-15 and offers players an additional football opportunity. It incorporates the fundamental principles of the Skills Acquisition phase of the FFA National Curriculum for U12 and U13 players Game Training phase of the FFA National Curriculum for U14 and U15 players.
Players in the Football NSW Regional League register and play for their local grassroots Club and in addition will train with the ESFA Regional League sides and play a number of games for ESFA against other clubs across Sydney and NSW.
ESFA Regional League will play its home games on Sunday mornings and will train once a week in addition to the local ESFA competition.
We will be conducting trials between the 24th November and 6th December this year, and will announce more details in coming weeks.
Register Expression of Interest
The SAP and Regional League are residency-based programs - all players must live in the Metro-East boundaries, comprising the Eastern Suburbs, St George and Canterbury association boundaries.
