The ESFA Board is very pleased to confirm that FNSW has welcomed ESFA teams  into the FNSW Regional  League in 2014 in the U12, U13, U14 and U15 age groups for boys.

The Regional League is made up of Associations representative teams selected from boys who must be registered and play regularly with local Association teams in 2014. This gives an opportunity for the best local players to receive high grade extra coaching and play extra high quality games while still playing with their friends in local club teams.

The teams will be selected in the coming weeks, and will train one night per week starting in late January 2014, through to early September. Games will generally be played each second week on Sundays starting in mid to late March. Therefore this will not interfere with the boys’ local club training and games.

Please watch the ESFA website for trial dates and times, and encourage your club’s players to try out. Their participation will strengthen your club’s teams and will encourage other players to register so that they can play representative football.

We will be looking to involve locally based, suitably qualified coaches in the coaching of these representative teams. This will strengthen and improve the experience of local coaches while managers are likely to be drawn from local clubs.

There are many areas still to be finalised including fees but these will recognize that the boys have already signed on for a local club. This is a forty week program designed to provide the best local players with an excellent coaching and game program.

We are sure that the FNSW’s selection of ESFA to run teams in the Regional League in 2014 will be a positive  experience for our local boys and help build our ESFA youth age group competitions.
