Referees Branch AGM Report

Published: 13/12/2013 10:09:00 AM
The Referees Branch Annual General Meeting saw a new committee elected, with Arthur Kringas as Chairman, on Tuesday night.

A restructure of the Branch Rules meant that a new single Referees Branch Committee would be formed.

A moment of silence was held at the start of the meeting in respect to fellow referee, Daniel Romeo, who passed away in October.

ESFA President, Raff Del Vecchio, attended the meeting and gave a welcoming address. Del Vecchio reflected on the Referees Branch being an important part of the ESFA community and thanked all members for their exceptional commitments throughout the year. He expressed his full support for Arthur Kringas and the incoming committee.

Arthur Kringas was elected unopposed as Chairman with John Garcia and Paul Kelly also elected on the committee unopposed. Raff Del Vecchio announced that the Board elected positions were Wayne Hillier, Franco Soliman and Rob Viselli to form the new Referees Branch Committee.

Kringas thanked everyone for their support and expressed how proud he was to hold the position of Chairman. He then discussed 2014 and his plans for more training, education and new uniforms for the Referees Branch.
