Saturday 26th April, 2014 saw the 10th Annual Dimos Mastoris Day at Jellicoe Park hosted by Pagewood BotanyFootball Club.

This day for the first time saw both the AAM Championships League First Grade and the Reserve Grade, play on adjacent fields at the same time, adding to the occasion.

Pagewood Botany Football Club were magnificent hosts for the day with spit roasts, jumping castles and a friendly and respectful atmosphere which was appreciated and enjoyed by all.

Mr Mastoris was a Waverley College Old Boy and played for Pagewood Botany O35s when he passed away while playing football in 2005 while playing a match between Pagewood Botany and Waverley Old Boys.

The beginning of the match was marked with a respectful minute of silence by all players and referees.

A well fought, highly spirited and extremely respectful match on both sides saw a last minute penalty awarded to Pagewood resulting in an equaliser which ended the match in a fitting 2 all draw, with Pagewood retaining the Dimos Shield.
