ESFA AAW1s Round Three FNSW State Cup

Published: 30/05/2014 9:36:00 AM
Our AAW1 Competition is proving to NSW just how skilled and competitive our female players from the Eastern Suburbs actually are.

While Maroubra United and Waverley Old Boys experienced some tight games of football which resulted in narrow defeats, we have four teams remaining in the FNSW State Cup, competing this Sunday 1st June, 2014 in Round 3.

UNSW take on Liverpool Rangers and Dunbar Rovers 2013 League Champions, compete against Canley Heights with both games being played at Ireland Park, Liverpool. This will see some great combined support for both teams playing under the ESFA banner. Looking forward to both teams taking the wins.

Our Queens Park AAW1, 2013 Grand Final Winners take on Doonside Hawks at Glendanning Oval, with the determination and thought of going forward to round 4.

While UNSW, Dunbar Rovers and Queens Park all have the pleasure of playing within the Sydney region, we make special mention of our Coogee United AAW1 who face a 7 hour, 547 kilometre drive to play Yoogali SC in Griffith for an 11:00am Sunday morning kick off! We wish them a safe trip and a win to make the return trip worth while! Just remember, it's really all about the game.

All the best to the four ESFA AAW1 teams remaining in the FNSW State Cup, proving the strength of the women's football competition in the Eastern Suburbs.
