This weekend sees the parks across the ESFA community  emblazoned with an extra splash of colour not usually associated with the teams in black and white!

Coogee United are supporting the McGrath Foundation "Pull On Your Socks" initiative and all 14 Coogee Senior teams will be swapping their black socks for hot pink!

It all begins Saturday with the AAM Championships Reserve Grade against Maroubra United (who themselves have their AAW4 play in pink socks every week to raise awareness for breast cancer and in memory of ESFA Life Member, Louise Mazzaroli) at Heffron Park at 1:00pm and will end on Sunday with the AAW2 5:00pm kick off against Lokomotiv Cove at Alexandria Park.

This weekend will see over $2000.00 raised for the McGrath Foundation to enable them to continue their fantastic and worthy work, placing McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across the nation, as well as increasing breast cancer awareness in young Australian women. Breast cancer currently affects one in eight Australian women of all ages and backgrounds.

You can read about the brilliant work of the Foundation and the "Pull On Your Socks"campaign at http://pullonyoursocks2014.gofundraise.com.au/

For all our other teams and spectators across the ESFA Competition who may be watching any of the Coogee United games this weekend, please do not be shy to wear a splash of pink in support of the cause!

If your Club plans on any fundraising initiatives, let ESFA know and we will promote your cause!

The football family does more than play football.
