Junior Finals
RAIN RAIN Go away!
Well we were lucky enough to have all our games played Saturday 16th August, however Sunday was a complete washout. So what happens now?
Saturday teams  Boys 12-15 - as Saturday games were successfully completed they will move on as planned with
PRELIMINARY FINALS  & Pennant Grand Finals this week and then Grand Finals on Saturday 30th August.
Sunday teams as we explained last week, these competitions will now go to a 2 week finals format i.e. 1 v 4 & 2 v 3
with the winners going through to Grand Finals on Sunday 31st August.
NB Sunday Pennant games - stay in same order (times may change) THOUGH will go back 1 week from original schedule, so
Grand Final will now be on Sunday 31st August.
18 Boys - Some issues have resulted from washouts. Options are currently being discussed.
All this requires - redrawing games so again our target is for a Finals draw (Saturday & Sunday) ready by 5:00pm Wednesday 20th August.
Championship - Grand Finals are scheduled to be played at Hensley Oval on August 30th/31st. Hensley is very highly booked so it is not possible to reschedule this booking (Good news - Given this is a synthetic pitch it is very unlikely these games would be washed out).
Division 2 and Pennant finals - Grand Finals are scheduled for the 30th/31st, these will not be be played at Hensley Oval, more information on this will be posted out shortly.
Therefore, at this stage,  the most logical  solution would be to follow the rules which
dictate that if these  games are washed out this weekend, then the HIGHEST PLACED teams at the
end of the normal season i.e. 1st & 2nd will progress to the Grand Finals
which will be played August 30th/31st.
We continue to look for a break in the weather and hope to see football the real winner!
