Dunbar Rovers Become First ESFA Team Since 2009 To Win Champion of Champions

A sunny Sunday saw ESFA's finest take to the fields for the Champion of Champions Finals at Blacktown.
While our Pagewood Botany U16s boys fought hard against Lindfield, they were unfortunate to not be triumphant with a 0-1 loss.
Our U21 Women, Maccabi Hakoah also proved why they were contesting the final and were also unfortunate to not be victorious with a scoreline of Doonside Hawks 2 Maccabi Hakoah 1.
We congratulate both the U16 boys and the U21 women for representing the Eastern Suburbs with such tenacity and taking to the football field with vigour.
Dunbar Rovers AA Men (AAM Championship) became the first ESFA team to win their Champion of Champions Grand Final with a 3-2 victory over Kenthurst with the last goal coming in the final 12 minutes of the game. Nail biting to the end and we congratulate Dunbar Rovers for their professionalism. The players showed significant skill under the coaching staff and the large contingent of Dunbar Rovers supporters who made the trek!
Well done to all teams who participated in 2014 Champion of Champions.
Football has been alive and well in 2014 in the ESFA Competition.
