ESFA congratulates Dunbar Rovers on their admission into the Football NSW State League Division 2 for 2015.

It is a big achievement for a club that started just 25 years ago by a group of ex-pats who socialised at what was then the Old Dunbar Hotel in Paddington. They wanted to be a Rugby team but found football was easier to play, and the rugby influence is still clearly visible in the unique club colours of baby blue and white quartered shirts with a pale pink collar!

Dunbar are giants of the ESFA competition, winning five League Championships in our premier competition and they have won the Football NSW Open Men’s Champions of Champions twice – 2008 and 2014. They will continue to play in ESFA competition and will still be entering teams in the premier men's competitions in ESFA in 2015 and add to that the new State League teams.

The U20s will be coached by club legend Mike Dixon and Firsts by 2014’s all-conquering First Grade coach Will Cullen. The State League division of the club is directed by long-time Dunbar man and one-time ESFA staff-member Marc Coughlan.

Dunbar will be selecting first grade and U20 teams to compete in the State League 2 competition for 2015 – head to the Dunbar Facebook Page for details of trials.
