Socceroos Reach Their Second Successive AFC Asian Cup Final

The Socceroos have reached their second successive AFC Asian Cup Final by defeating United Arab Emirates 2-0 in their Semi-final in Newcastle last night, setting up a decider against Korea Republic in Sydney at Stadium Australia THIS Saturday January 31st, 2015.

The Socceroos, beaten by Japan in the 2011 Final in Qatar, will now attempt to lift the trophy for the first time against twice former champions Korea Republic – the only team to have beaten them in the tournament so far. Who would want to miss that moment?

Tickets are still available by clicking here Socceroos v Korea Republic

We know of many of our ESFA football family who will be sitting in the stands at Homebush and cheering the Socceroos to victory. After all is there not six degrees of separation from ESFA to Massimo Luongo (former Waverley College student!).

One must ask, was there always an omen in that all AFC Asian Cup promotional material said "Australia 2015"?

Go and enjoy the beautiful game!
