Champion Of Champions Final O45s

Published: 3/11/2015 9:32:00 AM

Pagewood Botany FC Over 45s finally get to play the game that means the most to them.

Friday 6th November, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Valentines Sports Park, Pagewood Botany FC O45s will take on North Rocks O45s to ascertain just who is the best Association football team in NSW.

Ongoing inquiries over player eligibility have meant that the masters of the competition have needed to wait far longer than anticipated to have their moment of glory.

John Harris, Captain of Pagewood O45s reported the following on the team that has not lost a game all season:

"The over 45 team completed the season winning all 17 games with a goal advantage of 109-9. The team is about to play the final in the champion of champions competition against the Granville & District Soccer Football Association  representative after victories against the champion teams from Central Coast, Sutherland and Nepean regions.
The team has been strengthened, as shown by these results by the trio of Gerri, Marko and Maldini from Coogee/ Rushcutters Bay.
Pagewood existing long service elite players continued their star performance in 2015 including Steve Downey, David Booker, David Shaddock, Christian Oritiz, Zaya Jedraiel, Steve Lundy, Sean Fenton etc.
Top goal scorer was spread among the whole team.”

Once again all roads on Friday lead to Valentines Park and with the victory of Coogee United AAM already bringing silverware back to the Eastern Suburbs, we wish Lino and his team all the best in the Grand Final.

We trust the ESFA football community will rally round and show their support at VSP Field 2 at 7:30pm on Friday 6th November, 2015.

We wish Pagewood Botany O45s the best of luck on Friday.

All good things come to those who wait.
