Football requires respect of the game, match officials, team and club officials as well as the opposition. With referees continually leaving the game due to significant abuse, the upgraded penalties should make everyone think more carefully about words chosen to be used on the pitch. It’s not just referees who receive abuse with the continual use of strong offensive and abusive language toward the opposition, coaches and parents, which in itself is a direct violation of our ESFA Codes of Conduct; ESFA Code of Conduct Coach, ESFA Code Of Conduct Manager or Official, ESFA Code of Conduct Parent and ESFA Code Of Conduct Player

Let’s keep the beautiful game beautiful and think first.
