Grand Final Winners 2016

Winter Season 2016 ensured some wonderful memories culminating in our Grand Finals at Moore Park, Heffron Park and Hensley.

We witnessed some brilliant football over the past two weekends with some fixtures not having a result in the allotted time, going to extra time and even to penalties. This proved the strength of our competitions and gave more entertainment to the many spectators who came down to both our Grand Final venues over the weekends.

Thank you to all who made our Grand Final weekends a memorable and enjoyable experience through, playing, managing, coaching, spectating and cheering!

The Grand Final victory ensured Coogee United AAW2 were crowned our only treble winners for the season, having won the League, the ESFA Womens Cup and the Grand Final. The previous Club to achieve this feat, was Maccabi Hakoah Womens 2 in 2014. This is an impressive achievement that has womens football strengthening in the Eastern Suburbs.

We look forward to seeing football grow in all age groups both male and female in 2017 and are grateful to all who assisted in ensuring our Grand Finals were able to provide our teams and clubs with an unforgettable experience.
