Champion of Champions 2016

Sunday 18th September, 2016 purportedly saw an Eastern Suburbs Football Association invasion of Orange. There was nothing juicy about the weather with Orange choosing to not close grounds causing our players to rethink their football strategies to mud wrestling at times! All teams who squeezed their way into Orange, are through to round 2 with the following appealing score lines after a concentrated effort.

  1. Redfern Raiders FC U12 Boys: 2-nil
  2. Redfern Raiders FC U13 Boys: 4-nil
  3. Redfern Raiders FC U14 Boys: 5-1
  4. Redfern Raiders FC U15 Boys: 4-2
  5. Pagewood Botany FC U16 Boys: 2-1
  6. Dunbar Rovers FC AAM (Championship): 5-2

Sunday 25th September and once again we have more football to support. Of course we have to choose whether to go west or north within the Sydney region, for our spectating pleasure, with the following fixtures for round 2.

The following teams have a bye this weekend, taking them through to Round 3:

U13 Boys – Redfern Raiders FC

U15 Boys – Redfern Raiders FC

U21 Men – Heffron Hawks FC

AAM – Dunbar Rovers (Championship) FC

Pagewood Botany FC O45s have found their way through to Round 3 after being forfeited against (their reputation as Champions of Champions 2015 may have worried the opposition!).

Dunbar Rovers FC AAW are still awaiting their fixture information after their prospective opponents were unable to play their Round 1 game in Dubbo due to ground closure (Not as tough as Orange!).

We wish all the teams competing the best of luck in their Round 2 fixtures and look forward to some further winning results.
