Everything Is Coming Up Roses For Dunbar AA Women

Everything Is Coming Up Roses!

Commiserations to Dunbar Rovers AAM Championship and Heffron Hawks U21 after their remarkably successful seasons, with both teams winning their respective leagues and grand finals, being unable to starve off the oppositions in their Champion of Champions semi-finals. We hope they take pride in their 2016 season. Congratulations to both coaches Lee Burney from Dunbar Rovers and Leon Carnivale from Heffron Hawks on taking their teams through to the semis.

And then there was one!

With womens football experiencing growth and strength every season, Dunbar Rovers AAW Championship have made the Champion of Champions Final this Sunday at Valentines Park.

This is history in the making for ESFA Womens Football with no other team ever reaching a final berth in the Champion of Champions tournament. There’s one step of history, with one more step to go to bring the silverware to the Eastern Suburbs. After a successful season whereby Dunbar Rovers won the League, entered the State Cup and made the ESFA grand final, the ladies triumphed over Beacon Hill with a 1-nil victory in their semi-final.

To catch all the action of this history occassion, get among it at Valentines Park on Sunday 23rd October, 2016 at 3:00pm on Field 1, when the ladies of Dunbar Rovers take on Tarrawanna FC from Football South Coast Association. We hope to see many members of the greater ESFA football community supporting.

This is a great boost and achievement for womens football in the Eastern Suburbs.

We wish Dunbar Rovers AAW Championship and their coach Gordon Johnston, the best of luck in their quest to be the inaugural ESFA Womens Champion of Champions and bring home some more silverware!
