Round 4 of the FFA Cup continues tonight when Glebe Gorillas FC take on Hills Brumbies at Russell Reserve, Rouse Hill in their continual quest for the Cup. Kick off is at 7:15pm. Can one of our newest Clubs take it the furthest?
Good Friday (or so hope WOB) sees Waverley Old Boys take on Gladesville Ravens FC a little closer to home at Waverley Synthetic Park at 5:00pm, hoping they too secure victory and further glory. Will the Old Boys of the ESFA Competition, go far?
We wish both teams an easy journey through to Round 5 of the Cup.
Speaking of a what could be perceived as an easy journey, Lokomotiv Cove went through to Round 5 of the FFA Cup after soundly beating Minchinbury Jets on Wednesday 5th April, 10 goals to nil. We consider it however, good football! Lokomotiv Cove now take on Blacktown FC on Thursday 20th April at Lily’s Football Centre at Blacktown.
Dunbar Rovers FC however, have to wait a little longer to see if they reap victory in their Round 4 FFA Cup fixture. With a tightly fought game against Berkeley Vale not conceding any goals during 90 minutes and lights turning off 5 minutes into extra time, this fixture will now be replayed in agreement by both Clubs at Valentines Sports Park on Wednesday 19th April. Good football spirit, considering initially Berkeley Vale was to travel to Sydney for perhaps 30 minutes of football (the unplayed extra time) or at the most a few penalties afterward.
To all four remaining ESFA Clubs, we wish you the best in your endeavours and look forward to witnessing some excellent football.
