FNSW Champion of Champions Grand Final
Sunday 22nd October, 2017 and after the dust has settled from the opening rounds and all our ESFA representatives gave their all in an attempt to become Football NSW Champion of Champions for 2017, one team has made the Grand Final and will represent the Eastern Suburbs.
With the Maccabi AAM3 team completing their 2017 winter season in 6th place, the team willingly took up the call to represent ESFA in the U21 (all team members registered being part of the age group) Football NSW Champion of Champions Competition. The quality of the Sunday AAM3 division has been mirrored in Maccabi’s journey to Valentine’s Park with a 2-1 victory in their quarter-final and a 1-nil victory in their semi-final.
Will the fairytale continue this Sunday at 12:45pm at Valentines Sports Park 2 when Maccabi take on 2016 Champion of Champions Menai Hawks? We believe the lads can go all the way and trust that an ESFA team shall be lifting the silverware at Valentines Sports Park for the third consecutive year.
A true reflection of the standard of football within the youth of Eastern Suburbs Football Association, these lads are self coached and a group of mates who formed the team this year! One season and already off to a Champion of Champions grand final. Impressive!
Of course Maccabi are not the only team ESFA are sending to Valentines Sports Park.
ESFA Referees Branch is proud to appoint a team of match officials to the 14 Women Champion of Champions grand final between Killarney District SC and Bonnyrigg FC on VSP 1 at 1:00pm.
Congratulations to Gabrielle McAlpine, Jessica Eburn and Matty Dafkovski for being given the honour of representing ESFA. We know the team in black will also do the Eastern Suburbs proud.
Wishing both Maccabi and our match officials, the best of luck on Sunday.
Get out to VSP on Sunday and support the game.
