2018 Football NSW State Cup Semi Finals

This Sunday 1st July 2018, three separate ESFA Clubs play in the Football NSW State Cup Semi Finals Sunday 1st July 2018, in three different competitions. This is an astounding result for football in the Eastern Suburbs and testament to the strength of local competition football.

Coogee United AAM1 A have had a highly successful campaign with high scoring results in all their fixtures.  Can they continue this run when taking on Lilli Pilli 2 at 5 Sports, Caringbah? Lilli Pilli currently have two teams in the Bill Cullinan AAM Cup semifinals and have been previous winners of Football NSW Champion of Champions. Coogee United looking to book a berth in the Final on 22nd July at Valentines Sports Park and be the first ESFA AAM Division 1 team to represent.

Dunbar Rovers O35 Championship currently leading the table significantly in the ESFA League, will be playing Leichhardt Tigers at Strathfield Park. Dunbar Rovers were knocked out of the State Cup in the Quarter Finals in 2017 and are looking to continue their “no loss” philosophy, in either the ESFA League or Football NSW knockout competition, with another victory this Sunday. A final berth is the ultimate goal.

Sydney University AAW Championship A 2017 ESFA League winners take on Northbridge at Mills Park. Northbridge successfully made the Final in 2017 losing out to Albion Park. Sydney University will look to spoiling another Final berth for Northbridge. Sydney Uni have had some high scoring results throughout the tournament and we look forward to a further victory this Sunday.

The success of these three Clubs and their teams thus far is commended. We acknowledge all our Clubs who have participated in the 2018 tournament.

While all roads this weekend lead to various parks throughout Sydney, we wish the best of luck to Coogee United, Dunbar Rovers and Sydney University in ensuring their next road trip is to Valentines Sports Park. Three Clubs. Three Competitions. Three Semi Finals.
