The Board of Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) is delighted to announce experienced sports administrator John Boulous to the role of CEO.
Boulous brings a wealth of football administration experience to the role having previously worked in various management and executive roles across the game for close to fifteen years. These roles include National Participation Manager at Football Australia, Chief Executive Officer at Football Federation Tasmania and Chief Executive Officer at Sydney Olympic Football Club. In addition to these roles Boulous has also undertaken management and leadership roles at Cricket NSW, Parramatta Eels, and the AFL.
President Glen Overton was excited to have Boulous join the team at ESFA;
“John brings experience across all levels of our game, having previously served in management roles at a National, State and Club level. He will bring a skill-set that will both support our strategic priorities as well as lead our hard-working ESFA office to continue to strengthen our game across all levels. We are looking forward to having John join the team, meet, and work with our club presidents, partners, and key stakeholders of the association”.
“We would like to thank former ESFA General Manager Greg Storey for his leadership and valuable contribution over the past three years. In this time Greg has overseen tremendous growth in participation in all areas of our game. Our operations are in great shape to support further growth and initiative.”
John Boulous was also looking forward to the opportunity;
“I would like to thank Glen and the Board for giving me the chance to lead ESFA. I cannot wait to hit the ground running and start working with our staff and stakeholders to continue to provide enhanced competitions, programs and opportunities for clubs, players, coaches, referees, and volunteers to participate in our game at a level that suits all abilities and aspirations.
John commenced in the role on Monday 13th January.
