It’s beginning to feel like football season with 2020 registration numbers kicking past the wall and into the back of the net!
As at 12th February 2020, there are 1917 players registered with ESFA through their Clubs! With season start for Premier League Men on 28th March and on 3rd April (O35 Friday), followed by Juniors and Seniors Saturday and Sunday Comps on 4th and 5th April, it’s looking to be a bumper season.
In comparison to the same period in 2019, there were 1732 players registered. We are ahead by just under 200 players!
Our senior players are lagging slightly behind our juniors (not that it’s another competition nor is their a trophy involved!) however, whilst being ahead of 2019, we do encourage all players at this time to do a favour to their hard working Club committees as well as themselves and jump online on Play Football to register to play as soon as possible. Consider that the first goal of the season.
Current Registrations from 03/01/2020 to 12/02/2020 are:
- Juniors: 1698
- Seniors: 220
Registrations same period 2019 were:
- Juniors: 1541
- Seniors: 191
There have been plenty of Trial Games being sanctioned by the ESFA office the past few weeks, which is encouraging for all competitions and player numbers.
