SUSPENSION OF ESFA FOOTBALL
Last night the Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) Board of Directors met to discuss the growing COVID-19 cluster encompassing the City of Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, Inner West, Bayside, and Woollahra local government areas and the enhanced restrictions imposed by the NSW Government on 23rd June 2021.
As a result of the meeting, the ESFA Board of Directors moved for the suspension of all football activities for 7 days from 24th June 2021 to 1st July 2021 (inclusive).
ESFA and it’s affiliated clubs will prepare for a return to football and ensure refreshed COVID Safe protocols are in place that take into account updated requirements from NSW Health and Football NSW.
The ESFA Board will review this decision and updated health advice early next week.
Guidance relating to participation in cups and competitions directly governed by FNSW will be communicated to participating clubs.
