WPL Match of the Round – Game Week 4

Maroubra United vs Easts FC

Both teams have only been in action once thus far this season and will be eager to get a solid 90 minutes of football in their players legs. Easts have one draw to their name with Maroubra taking a loss against a goal hungry Waverley. We hope the rain stays at bay this weekend so that we can really start seeing who will be challenging in the league this year.

Captain Jess Jones had this to say ahead of the fixture; I am excited for this season as we have plenty of new and exciting players as well as some faithful veterans and that mix of talent could set us up for an explosive season. With only one game under our belts, it’s still early days but I’m confident we have the right mix for a great season.

Easts FC have expressed how excited they are about their team this year. After their first season in the top flight of women’s football, they are feeling confident the team is much stronger this year, particularly after a positive result against a strong Dunbar outfit.

Good luck to both teams.
