ESFA and Indigenous Football Week

As part of ESFA’s Inclusion Program, in late August we began hosting “Come and Try” Programs in conjunction with The National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

With a commitment of just 45-minutes a week, the program had a strong focus on fun, inclusion and friendship, run by accredited coaches and provides participants the opportunity to spend time focusing on their own fitness and well-being in a judgement-free environment.

As part of this program, ESFA is providing Indigenous kids in the Eastern Suburbs a pathway to follow their dreams and be leaders in their community.

There are 2 absolute legends from our Program provided the ability this weekend to join kids from all over Australia to celebrate their culture and their love of football at Indigenous Football Week in Dubbo with the John Moriarty Foundation. We can’t wait to see them and others in action.

ESFA President Nigel Singh explains more in an excellent story from Craig Foster and SBS The World Game. Please click here to find out more!

We look forward to broadening and strengthening this program along with future ESFA Inclusion Programs.
